Colts Training: Thursdays 6pm – 7.30pm
Under 15’s Training: Thursdays 5pm – 6.30pm
Minis Training: Sundays 9.15am – 10am
Matches
Colts Matches are generally held on Saturday afternoons with a 3pm KO but sometimes this may change.
U15 Matches are generally held on Sunday mornings with an 11am KO but sometimes this may change.
For all teams fixtures can be found on our website or your team’s WhatsApp group.
Colts also use an app called Heja which you will be invited to sign up to once you join, they also have a WhatsApp group which you will also be added to.
On a match day, children are expected to arrive 1 hour before the game commences (10am) for pre-match training and team talks.
The clubhouse is always open when there is a home game, so head over for our own special blend of coffee “Up The Village” and a breakfast roll.
Shower facilities are provided on home match days at Totnes pavilions. Players should bring a change of clothes including white shirt and club tie for the “after match” run down where man of the match and other awards are announced. Our catering team also provide a cooked meal for the teams after every home game for the home and visiting teams.
Away games – Please note that transport is NOT provided by the club for away games so parents take it in turns to transport the team to the venue. Players should bring their shower kit, change of clothes including shirt and tie as we always do the same after match run down if the club we are visiting can facilitate this – most do.
Kit
Shorts, socks and ties will be given to the players. This is with huge gratitude to the club and our sponsors. Match shirts will be given out on match days and must be returned at the end of the game. Please ensure your child looks after all kit as this will be handed on to a younger team at the end of the season.
Membership
All playing team members are expected to pay membership, this can be paid by monthly or annually by direct debit via our website.
Membership is £150.00 per season for 1 playing child, £180 for 2 and £210 for 3 children.
Go to Totnes RFC (rfu.club) and follow the instructions. You will need a GMS account for yourself and then add your child (see below), remember to be in your childs account when purchasing the membership product. When completing the permissions, it is helpful if you allow the club to contact you by email as we will only do this very occasionally and for good reason.
Our membership secretary will be happy to help if you encounter a problem you can email Rowena at TRFCmembership@gmail.com.
GMS (Game Management System)
This is the RFU site that all players must be registered on to be covered by the RFU’s insurance. Once your child joins the club, you need to visit the GMS https://gms.rfu.com/GMS/Account/Login and set yourself and your child up.
You will get an account to be able to log-in and review and amend you and your child’s details. Emails from GMS will often go into your email spam so worth checking there if you are awaiting an email. Once you have registered you will get an email and you will need to use the link to reset your password.
If you volunteer with the club you will need to do a Play it Safe course which you will need to book through GMS.
Checklist for new members:
1. Register yourself and your child with the RFU on the GMS system
2. Make sure you are added to the teams WhatsApp group
3. If you are a Colts team member ensure you have been added to Heja app for fixtures
