The men's improvement this year was there for all to see in an exciting Papa Johns first round match at Borough Park against a very strong North Tawton team that had finished second in the tribute North and East League. Totnes were a little slow to start but managed to keep North Tawton from scoring for 15 minutes at the start of the game. They then did not stay alert and a quickly taken line out followed by a 50/22 kick put the visitors in a strong position and they scored. North Tawton scored two more tries before Totnes responded with a try of their own. From this point and in the second half Totnes were slightly on top and the final score of 26-36 could have been even closer. All in all a really heartening performance from aside that will no doubt be looking to challenge the top of the league next year
